went hunting...didn't catch a thing!

If you've been sitting on the edge of your chair all day waiting to hear about our house hunting today, I'm sorry. It was in short, pointless. The four houses we went to were gross and really didn't even have potential. We want to do some work on the house we buy, but there is no way we'd be able to afford renovating an entire one. And, in all reality we didn't even really like the locations and layouts of the houses, so renovations really wouldn't even make that big of a difference.

As of now, we're still waiting to hear back from the realtor from the house we liked. The more time that passes, our hopes of them selling the house is drastically diminishing.

Kurt's dad has built a specific search for us on a website that allows you to see all of the houses {that match our criteria} for sale. It updates us when a price is changed or when a new house is put on the market. We have now looked through all of the houses that we thought were potential houses {clearly many of them were duds}!! So, now we either have to expand our search by looking in locations that we really don't want to look or we wait until new houses are put on the market or prices are reduced on existing ones.

Good thing we're planning on staying in the house we buy for at least 5 years....this whole house hunting thing is getting old real quick! On the bright side, looks like we'll be able to save even more money while we wait around for our perfect house. :)

Maybe one day soon we'll be able to buy a house that looks something like this...

...and transform it to make it look something like this...

Be sure to check out some of the interior renovations here.
